Had a Great Time with the Hirsch Hawks!!
Shout out to Ms. Harris, Librarian at Hirsch Elementary in Spring ISD, for inviting me to the Camp Write Alot event. I shared writing tips and words of inspiration with the 5th grade students as well, as other grade levels who joined in on Google Meets. Excited to see these young authors publish their own stories in the future.
I was featured in their district newsletter:

Great Author Event at the Harmony School of Excellence!
Thank you to the following people who made this event happen:
Emine Bahadir - 3-5 Dean of Academics,
Kubra Ozdogan - Principal,
Carlene Dorsey - K-8 Dean of Student Culture, who personally extended the invitation to me,
the teachers and the 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students. The students were very engaged and asked some amazing questions. I was happy to reiterate how important literacy, good character, kindness, perseverance and determination are important tools to our daily success as adults and students. I was also moved and encouraged by the school's motto, "Inspiring Futures Every Day". I hope my affirmations for the students, my personal journey and my inspirational story on how I became an author left a lasting impression.
Thank you Harmony School of Excellence and Go Tigers!
